APAA current activities include:
· The Guest Artist Performance Series, providing high-quality performance events with emphasis on local talent and diversity of offerings. · Youth Arts Competitions. A competition in music is currently sponsored. Other events are under consideration. · Encouragement to Arts Organizations. APAA offers support to: o Enchanted Strings, a unique multi-cultured ensemble offering original music and dance.
o BosmaDance, a dance troupe dedicated to the promotion of contemporary dance as a powerful form of communication and expression;
o Yockadot Poetics Theatre Project, a newly organized annual Alexandria poetry theatre series.
o Enoch Chan, artist in many media, with a specialty in theatrical/dance lighting and special effects.
